This Privacy Policy applies to the Paarmati mobile application, related support communications, and any associated services we make available (collectively, the 'Services').
Paarmati is designed to minimize centralized collection and retention of user information. Most transaction data remains on your device rather than being stored by Paarmati.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use. Where the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy address the same subject, this Privacy Policy governs our handling of personal information.
We may process information you choose to provide to us directly, such as support emails, support attachments, feedback, or information you choose to share through optional sharing features.
If you subscribe through Apple, we generally do not receive your name or email address as part of the subscription transaction itself. We may, however, process limited subscription-related or account-related identifiers, such as an anonymous subscription identifier, app or device integrity signals, and related subscription status information needed to operate premium features.
We may collect and store limited technical log data relating to your use of the app, such as IP address, device or app integrity identifiers, request timestamps, endpoint activity, and related diagnostic or security metadata.
We use this information to operate and secure the app, prevent abuse, detect fraud or unauthorized use, monitor service performance, troubleshoot issues, enforce our Terms of Use, and understand feature usage at an aggregate level.
When you use AI-assisted features, submitted inputs and generated outputs may be processed temporarily so they can be returned to your device. These records are short-lived and are not part of a centrally stored long-term transaction history.
Most transaction records, categories, accounts, goals, backups, and related financial data remain stored on your device unless and until you choose to export, share, upload, or otherwise transmit them through a feature of the Services.
We use the limited information we process to operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services; provide subscription and support functions; detect fraud or abuse; enforce our Terms of Use; comply with legal obligations; and respond to valid legal requests.
We may also use limited technical and usage information in aggregated or de-identified form to understand service performance and feature usage.
Certain Paarmati features may temporarily process materials you submit for AI-assisted or automated analysis, including receipt images, statement files, chat prompts, extracted text, and related outputs needed to return results to your device. For voice-based features, audio is processed on your device and voice recordings are not transmitted to Paarmati’s servers as audio files. Instead, voice is first converted and only that processed content is sent for further server-side processing.
Paarmati does not centrally retain your transaction history or long-term AI inputs and outputs as part of ordinary service operation. AI-related inputs and outputs may be stored temporarily in short-lived processing tables only as needed for the requested feature to complete and for results to be fetched by the app.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, as necessary to provide and secure the Services, or as otherwise specifically authorized by you, Paarmati does not disclose the limited personal information and technical data it processes about you to third parties.
Paarmati generally does not have access to, and therefore generally cannot disclose, your private transaction data or the substantive inputs or outputs associated with AI features, because that information is primarily stored on your device and is not ordinarily retained by Paarmati except for limited temporary processing described in this Privacy Policy.
Where Paarmati does have access to limited personal information or technical data, we may disclose it only where required or permitted by applicable law, including to comply with a valid legal obligation, court order, warrant, subpoena, or other lawful request, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Paarmati, our users, or others, or to investigate, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Use. Where legally permitted, we will attempt to notify you before making such a disclosure.
We may also use service providers that act on our behalf to help operate the Services, including providers involved in cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Bedrock, subscription management, security, analytics, customer support, or AI-related processing. Those providers may receive limited information as needed to perform services for us, subject to applicable contractual or legal restrictions.
Most transaction data remains on your device and is not retained by Paarmati as part of ordinary service operation.
We retain limited technical data, subscription-related identifiers, support communications, and security logs only for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, security, abuse-prevention, troubleshooting, legal, or compliance purposes.
Temporary AI-processing records are retained only for the short period needed to complete the requested feature, return the result to your device, and address limited operational issues, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention practices.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed in connection with Paarmati.
Data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption. We maintain access controls and related measures intended to restrict access to backend systems and limited technical data to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational or security need.
Despite these measures, no method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any authentication methods you enable, including passcodes, biometrics, and Apple account protections.
You may choose whether to use optional AI-assisted features, optional budget-sharing or game features, and optional support channels. Use of any budget-sharing or game feature is entirely optional. If you choose to use it, you are solely responsible for deciding what information to share, including any hints, amounts, or other details, and for choosing the recipients of that shared content.
If you contact us for support, you control what information you include in your message. We do not receive your name or email address through Apple subscription purchases alone; we typically receive your email address only if you choose to contact us directly.
You may also control certain processing by declining to upload files, declining to use AI-assisted features, using available redaction tools before submission, or deleting local data from your device.
If you choose to upload a bank statement or similar document, you are solely responsible for deciding whether to upload it, what content it contains, and whether to redact any information before submission. Where available, our redaction tool is provided only as a convenience feature. You must review any document carefully before uploading it and before relying on any redaction. Paarmati does not warrant or guarantee that the redaction tool will remove, conceal, or protect all sensitive information, and use of the redaction tool does not mean that any document is safe to upload, share, or process. You assume all risk associated with the content you submit, including any information that remains visible, readable, recoverable, or otherwise exposed.
Paarmati is based in Canada. Limited technical information processed in connection with the Services may be handled in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law and service configuration.
Where AI-assisted or cloud-based features are used, selected inputs, outputs, and related technical data may be processed by third-party infrastructure as necessary to provide the feature you requested.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version in the
app, on our website, or by other reasonable notice, and we will update the “Last updated” date above.
Your continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
